Liability

THE CUSTOMER ACKNOWLEDGES AND UNDERSTANDS THAT OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES (INCLUDING HIKING, BACKPACKING, ROCK CLIMBING, KAYAKING, BIKING, AND CAMPING) COME WITH INHERENT RISKS OF INJURY OR DEATH. EPOAL USA provides gear and is not liable for injuries, damages, or losses. The customer agrees to "hold harmless" EPOAL USA and its employees.

Reservations

  • Reservations should be made at least 6 business days in advance.
  • A valid credit or debit card is required.
  • Your card will be authorized for the rental cost and one-way shipping; it will be charged near the shipping date or within 30 days.
  • Substitutions may apply based on availability.

Cancellation

  • Full refunds are available if canceled 10 full days before delivery.
  • Cancellations with less than 10 days' notice may result in store credit or a fee.
  • Minor changes are allowed until shipping.

Rental Guarantee

  • Gear is inspected for cleanliness and proper function.
  • Notify EPOAL USA immediately if there are issues upon delivery.
  • If gear is defective and cannot be replaced, a full refund will be issued.

Shipping Policy

  • One-way shipping costs are calculated by weight.
  • Shipping to U.S. locations generally takes 1–5 business days.
  • If expedited shipping is needed, additional fees may apply.
  • Orders over 150 pounds require a custom quote.
  • Return gear using a tracked carrier. Return label available upon request.

Start Date

  • Rental period starts on the delivery date or the requested date (whichever is later).
  • Recommended to start rental at least one day before departure.

End Date

  • Rental period ends on the return ship date or the date in your order.
  • Minimum rental period is 3 nights.

Security Deposit

  • No security deposit is required.
  • In case of damage, loss, or theft, you may be charged up to the manufacturer's suggested retail price (MSRP).

Cleaning

  • Sleeping bags are laundered between rentals.
  • Return gear dry to avoid mold or mildew.

Damaged Gear

  • You are responsible for excessive damage (tears, stains, missing parts).
  • Repair fees may apply.

Late Fees

  • Late returns may incur daily charges.
  • If gear is needed for another customer, you may be charged for an additional 3-day rental.
  • Maximum late fee equals the MSRP of the rented item.

Shipping Losses and Delays

  • Full refund for lost or destroyed gear during shipping.
  • Delays due to carrier error may qualify for a refund if unusable.
  • You are responsible for gear until it is returned to EPOAL USA.

Disputes

All legal disputes will be handled in a court located in St. Louis, Missouri, under Missouri State law.
